There is no virtue to be found in possession, because possession is always a reciprocal arrangement. The things your fingers grasp have fingers of their own. Possession is, in fact, a sort of enslavement.

If virtue resides anywhere, it is in release - perpetual, unending release. If you can find the strength to release your hold, you will find freedom enough to live in the love that rests in life's intangibles.

Live with open hands, then, and you might just end up with an open heart.
