unspoken
When she told him boys were strong
I felt weak,
but went along and said that girls could be strong, too.
And she said, "true... but they don't have to."
I don't really know why
but when she caught my eye
and said those words in just that way
I tried to speak, to say...
but found my words had flown away.
And when she said that boys don't mean their words
I thought I heard them,
thought I felt them flying back to me.
I looked for her: to see, to say...
but found that she had flown away.
